NEW KLEINTOURS´ AIRPORT PROCEDURE, SHUTTLES AND DOCUMENTATION

Quito´s new international airport has been successfully operating for almost 2 months.  Some of the users have expressed their concerns about the heavy traffic during certain hours though; due to the fact that the new highways are still under construction. KleinTours, in its efforts to avoid environmental pollution, and in order to improve our logistics based on our customer´ satisfaction, from now on will be providing shuttle transfers to/from the main hotels in connection with our Galapagos flights: OldTown, Mercure-Hilton, JW Marriott, Swissotel, Quito and Dann Carlton-Le Parc.  The shuttle fee will be US$ 20 net per person roundtrip hotel-airport-hotel and will be automatically invoiced with KleinTours´ Galapagos cruises.  Private transfers will be granted only for groups of minimum 12 passengers purchasing this service.
On the other hand, in order to speed up the check in process at local airports (Quito and Guayaquil) and to make it smoother, all travel documents will be delivered at guests´ hotels including: KleinTours welcome kit, cruise documentation and Ingala TCT Control Card.  Boarding passes for the Galapagos flight will be delivered at the airport while checking in.  If KleinTours is not handling the rest of the land services for your guests, it is mandatory to inform us the hotel where they will be staying before the cruise, or the ground operator responsible for them in Ecuador mainland.

GALAPAGOS NEW TAXES AND REGULATIONS

INGALA, in charge of the "Migratory Control System of the Galapagos Islands", keeps their current process, KT is still prepaying this tax on your behalf as well as entering travelers' information (complete names, passport number, day of birth, gender, and nationality). INGALA will begin a new visitors fingerprinting process upon arrival in Galapagos in a near future.
BALTRA´S AIRPORT TAX, due to the opening of the first ecological sustainable airport in Baltra Island, built with natural materials, new environmental technology and saving natural resources, a new tax is planned to be charged to travelers departing from this airport to the continent. For foreign passengers it will be US$ 30 per person. Payment method and starting date of this new procedure have not been informed yet by the local authorities. This will be formally notified by us as soon as we have an official communication; kindly note that this fee will be charged to all passengers traveling after the announcement.
