PAPALLACTA & THE ANTISANA VOLCANO

By the edge of the Highlands and the Amazon, there are the hot springs of thermal water amidst mist, moorland, primary forests, rivers, and lagoons, in less than two hours east from Quito.

The Antisana Volcano is the fourth highest snow-capped mountain in Ecuador and it is located in a natural reserve carrying the same name.  The emblematic Andes condor is a predatory bird which in length it can have up to 130 cms and it can be usually found flying overhead to compliment the perfect Highlands scenery.

The green and golden-yellow pastures that surround the site are covered with endemic Andean flora and fauna that can withstand the extreme temperatures on the heights of the mountains, making it a great place to disconnect from the world to enjoy what nature beholds.
